Chad Stroud

Manager, Indigenous Relations and Partnerships – Western Region
Chad Stroud is the Manager of Indigenous Relations and Partnerships for Canadian Coast Guard’s (CCG) Western Region, and is committed to the department’s priority of building renewed Nation-to-Nation relationships and partnerships with Indigenous communities.
Chad started his career in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Naval Electronic Sensors Operator. He later graduated from the Marine Communications Traffic Services (MCTS) Certification Program at the CCG College and worked as an MCTS Officer in Prince Rupert, then as an Officer in Charge of Prince Rupert and then as an Officer in Charge of Victoria. He is currently working on his Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
Chad is a proud father and grandfather of three children and three grandchildren. He enjoys riding the many bike trails of Vancouver Island and travelling with his spouse. He currently lives and works on the traditional lands of the Lekwungen Peoples, now known as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations in Victoria, B.C.
