IAMC Supporting Letters And Documents

The Indigenous Advisory and Monitoring Committee (IAMC) is guided by the following documents below. In addition, the Committee is guided by section 35 of the Constitutional Act 1982, recognizing and affirming Aboriginal treaty rights, principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

@IAMC_TMX Marine Shipping Subcommittee toured Westridge Marine Terminal on July 12 with @Transport_gc. @TransMtn Lead Environmental Officer explained that safety measures like bubble rings are taken to provide sound damping while pile driving to not disturb any sea life. If marine fauna enter the buffer zone set aside for pile driving, the company completing the work has included an emergency shut procedure.
